Your Liverpool Guide to Halloween

From never-ending queues to a genuine gridlock in Concert Square, Halloween may well be the busiest night out in Liverpool of the year. To avoid disappointment and to have the best night, it really is best to plan ahead for this one; trust me.

1. LEVEL – The Haunted Asylum

When: Monday 31st October 2016

Time: 10:00pm – 4:00am (last entry 2:00am)

Price: Early bird: £4.00 (plus £1.00 booking fee), Standard Ticket: £5.00 (plus £1.00 booking fee). Tickets for Level are available on the door, however you may want to purchase beforehand to avoid the stress of longer queues.

If you’re wanting to venture out into the madness of Concert Square, this suggestion might be for you. Love it or hate it, LEVEL certainly seems to be offering a great night out this Halloween. With a promised venue transformation – zombie flash mob, thriller stage show and free giveaways – this is not one to be missed. Whether you prefer the cheesiness of the top floor, or even dancing away to some R&B classics, LEVEL offers you mixed genres and reasonably priced drinks all night, why not give it a try?

2. MEDICATION – The Arts Club

You may have to arrive early for this one as no advance tickets are available, however I can assure you it will be worth it. With genres of House, Tech House, R&B and Hip Hop, MEDICATION is definitely up there with one of the best nights out. Does it get better? Add Halloween themed drinks, prizes for fancy dress and a haunted house transformation and it really is hard to resist.

3. UNLOCK Liverpool – The Joker’s Crypt, 23 Fleet Street

Although a little pricey for some, this event is selling fast. If you’re a real fan of the Joker, or even the whole Suicide Squad, then you’ll probably be frantically searching for that twenty pound note. With an exclusive burlesque performance from Harley Quinn and the joker waiting to lead you into his smokey nightclub, this event is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Enjoy your night amongst murderers and tricksters all in the spirit of Halloween. Still not sure? Perhaps the candy floss and toffee apples will draw you in. This is set to be a truly unmissable event!

4. Hot Plate Halloween Special – 24 Kitchen Street

When: Saturday 29th October 2016

Time: 8:00pm – 12:00am (last entry 10:00pm)

Looking for a real mystery this Halloween? 24 Kitchen Street may just be the place for you. If you’re a fan of Grime, Rap or Hip Hop, Kitchen Street’s unknown artist will give you a performance you won’t regret seeing. Word on the street says he’s “grime and rap’s most mysterious figure”, does it get spookier than that? Purchase your ticket now and be ready for a real surprise.

5. THE VOODOO BALL – Invisible Wind Factory

When: Saturday 29th October 2016

Time: 8:00pm – 3:00am

Perhaps you fancy something a bit different this Halloween? If so, The Voodoo Ball is one to try. Described as a “truly magical experience”, the ball will offer you a memorable night of African dance music: drumming, fire, martial arts, incredible set design and body painting. 6. 4Mation – The Attic

When: Friday 28th October 2016

Overspent lately? Fear no more because 4Mation offers you a free night of House and Techno; all underground, all night long. Expect some scary costumes and spooky tunes and remember; there’s no escape once you’re underground. This event is sure to fill up quick, so head down to The Attic before it gets too late. What’ve you got to lose when it’s completely free?

7. INFINITY – 24 Kitchen Street

If you simply can’t get enough of Kitchen Street, head down and enjoy a night of Jack Eye Jones who will be headlining a 2 hour live set, alongside live sets from Brother Beats, DJ Denny Dowd and DJ MZ. 8. COCOON – Newsham Park Orphanage And Asylum

The perfect event for those who fancy an all day event. With genres of Techno and Tech House, this event really offers you something different and, with it’s creepy location, it couldn’t be more suitable for Halloween! If you dare to visit the depths of the asylum, grab yourself a ticket now.

 

9. LIVERPOOL’S DISCO FESTIVAL – The Great Baltic Warehouse

When: Saturday 29th October 2016

Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 am (last entry 7:00 pm)

Another one for those in favour of a daytime festival. This may look a little pricey, but Liverpool’s Disco Festival offers you 14 hours of music and dance, surely to give you a weekend you won’t forget. Across The Baltic Triangle, the festival has rooms of Classic Disco, Rare Disco, House, Funk, Soul and Boogie. There really is something for everyone.

 

If these events don’t quite get you in the mood for Halloween, perhaps organising a bar crawl may be a good alternative? Head down to Concert Square early and work your way around for a night of cheap drinks.
