The Guild’s having a party. And you’re invited!

So, exciting news. The Guild has organised a Summer Festival and we have all the details…

The all-day free festival is being held in and around the Guild on Friday 3rd June from midday until midnight. The Guild itself will be transformed into a Summer Fest for the day with hay bales, bunting, music, food, a roving photographer and hopefully some sunshine!

Headlining the day will be Bongo’s Bingo, an Abandon Silence curated DJ line-up, food stalls sourced from Independent Liverpool and top live music from Riot Jazz.

Independent Liverpool will be there from midday with a delicious range of locally sourced food stalls in University Square, whilst the Courtyard promises a real festival buzz with Abandon Silence DJs starting from 1pm.

At 7pm, the Mountford will be hosting Bongo’s Bingo for an extra special version of their massively popular event. Free tickets for this will be released on the Guild website at 9am on Friday 13th May, so keep your eyes out.

Taking over from Jonny Bongo will be Riot Jazz who are set to play out the rest of the night from 10pm. Everyone is welcome at this event as no tickets are needed!

Rosie O’Donnell, Vice President of the Guild, said: “We’re really excited about our first ever Summer Festival. We’re taking all the things you love about Liverpool and bringing them together for a very special end of term celebration. It’s just a great chance to unwind and enjoy yourselves after all the stresses of exams and coursework.”

“After lots of discussion and feedback about our usual Summer Ball, we decided to change things this year. We found there wasn’t really an appetite for a formal Summer Ball so wanted to try something new.”

“We wanted to celebrate the end of the exams and the start of Summer so thought a festival would work really well. The line-up we’ve got is amazing and the whole thing is free so you can stay the whole day or just drop in for parts of it.”

More info on the day’s proceedings will be released w/c Monday 23th May!
