PREVIEW: The Travelling Band @ The Magnet – 14/10/2016

This Friday sees The Travelling Band head to The Magnet as part of their first headline tour in two years.

The Close Your Eyes and Count to Ten tour sees The Travelling Band playing shows all around the UK, a decade having passed since their formative 2006 recording sessions in Brooklyn – sessions that laid the foundations of the band’s debut album. As well as going on this long-awaited tour, the band will be releasing their first new music since their 2014 album The Big Defreeze.

Supporting the band on the countrywide tour is A. Dyjecinski, whose debut album was released earlier this year with The Travelling Band’s own record label, Sideways Saloon. Far from being a nostalgic look back at the last ten years, this tour “marks a line in the sand” following the departure of original The Travelling Band guitarist, Steve ‘Mugger’ Mullen.

The Travelling Band play at the Magnet on Friday 14th October, and their fourth album is due out next year.
