Joining the team couldn’t be simpler…
Get started by registering as an official member of the society with the Guild. Once you’re a member, you can take part in all our events and meetings, as well as get membership-only tickets for our socials and access to the Ellipsis Hub.You’ll also need to pay the membership fee, which is £5. You can either pay online or ask at the Guild Reception to pay in person.
Once you’ve paid your membership fee, you can set up a web account.
A web account lets you access the Ellipsis Hub and start writing for the website, as well as access our full events calendar, resources, internship opportunities and much more.We’ll let you know when your account is ready to go. Please allow at least 2 working days before contacting us if you’re waiting to hear back.
Make sure you’ve followed and liked our pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so you can see when your articles go live and keep up to date with everything Ellipsis!
As well as our public pages, we have a dedicated Facebook group so that our teams can keep in touch with one another. We’ll use this to communicate opportunities, meeting details and other society-related information.
Section Editors may also have separate Facebook Groups or chats to communicate section-specific opportunities. Chat to the section editor if you’d like to be added to these.
Now you’re set up, we recommend introducing yourself to the team. You can drop one of our committee members an email and ask about what opportunities are on offer, or come along to our next meeting (details at the top of this page). We can’t wait to meet you and we look forward to reading your work 🙂
